Mercy Medical Center is a fully JCAHO accredited, 25-bed Critical Access regional medical facility which serves approximately 50,000 people from western North Dakota and eastern Montana.

Mercy Medical Center was founded in 1920 by the Sisters of Mercy to provide quality healthcare for the whole person regardless of socioeconomic status, race, or ability to pay. Since then, Mercy Medical Center has become a regional medical center offering a range of services including emergency services, surgery, wellness programs, cancer treatment, home health, hospice, chemical dependency programs, rehabilitation therapies, and many more.
In 1996, Mercy Medical Center became part of Catholic Health Initiatives. Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) is a national non-profit corporation based in Denver, Colorado.

Mercy Wellness Center is a 32,000 square foot rehabilitation, education, and health center located in downtown Williston, complete with indoor walking track, aerobic dance studio, hydrotherapy pools, and a wide variety of cardiovascular and strength training equipment. Mercy Wellness Center is the site for outpatient physical therapy, cardiac rehabilitation, and other follow-up care plans for Mercy patients.
