Jobs and Relocation to Williston

In recent weeks, Williston has seen a large amount of press coverage due to the boom in the oil industry and the large amount of job openings. The press coverage has caused a huge influx of calls to the Chamber which we are unable to keep up with. Due to the influx of inquiries, at this time we are not mailing out packets nor can we answer each email or phone call individually.

Below is a list of resources that will be useful for job seekers and those that wish to relocate to Williston. Please keep in mind that, while jobs are abundant, housing is scarce. If you are planning a trip to the area, it is best to plan around the availability of hotel rooms.

Housing: Housing is scarce in the Williston Basin. For a list of realtors and property management companies, please see page 3 and page 5 in the Williston Relocation Guide. You can access this guide by clicking the "Relocation Guide" button on the right hand side of this page.

Jobs: Call Bakken Staffing at 888-257-8233 or SOS Staffing at 701-572-1440 or visit www.jobsnd.com to search for job listings in the Williston area.

Oilfield related companies: The most accurate, up-to-date listing of oilfield companies in the Williston area can be found in Don's Directory. There is a fee for this directory.  To access the directory, visit www.donsdirectory.com. They are not an employment agency only a company that publishes a listing of the companies.  Please do not call them with employment related questions.

Planning & Zoning: For building development, please contact Williams County Planning and Zoning, 701-577-4565 or the City of Williston Planning & Zoning, 701-577-8107.

Contractors/Permitting/Licensing: The best resource for these items is the Williston Building Department, 701-577-8115.

Advertising & Classifieds: For advertising in local papers, contact the Williston Herald and The Shopper.

For questions not answered above, it’s best to email us with via our Contact Us form.  Thank you and we appreciate your patience.
